Launch of the National Agenda for Advanced Technologies and AI in Panama

The National Government of Panama officially announced the launch of the National Agenda for Advanced Technologies, a strategic plan aimed at positioning the country at the forefront of technology and consolidating its role in the regional digital economy.

​Key Pillars of the Strategy

​The initiative focuses on three fundamental technological axes:

​Artificial Intelligence (AI): Implementation and integration of AI-based solutions to boost the competitiveness of both the public and private sectors.

​Semiconductors: A strategic effort to integrate Panama into the global microchip production and assembly chain.

​Microelectronics: Promotion of technical training and infrastructure development for the advanced electronics industry.

​This strategy seeks to transform the country's productive sector by developing specialized local talent, attracting foreign direct investment, and modernizing state technological infrastructure.

​By integrating Artificial Intelligence, Panama aims to optimize key processes in logistics, the financial sector, and public administration, accelerating data-driven decision-making. On the other hand, the inclusion of semiconductors and microelectronics responds to the growing global demand for integrated circuits, positioning the country as a strategic tech and logistics hub for the region.
